Description

Our Crew Members are responsible for construction of tiny homes, cottages, park models and vacation villas built in our factory. All aspects from framing to finishing and all of the trades in between are completed in-house. 


We are currently seeking an experience plumbing crew member to join our manufacturing team. The plumber is responsible for installing, routing, connecting, and testing plumbing systems and gas lines in tiny homes and manufactured cottages during the production process.


This position requires the ability to read plans and specifications, accurately install water and drain piping, run and connect gas lines, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable plumbing and fuel-gas codes.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well in a production environment, and can identify and correct problems before a unit moves to the next stage of construction.



Typical Responsibilities:

  • Plumb in sinks, exterior faucets, toilets, on demand water heaters in tiny homes and manufactured cottages.
  • Cut and thread black pipe to run all necessary gas lines for stoves and water heaters.
  • Route and secure plumbing lines according to drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
  • Install and connect fixtures, valves, water heaters, toilets, sinks, showers, and other plumbing components.
  • Install, route, and connect approved gas piping and related components.
  • Perform gas-line pressure testing and leak testing as required.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks, proper drainage, and proper operation.
  • Install pipe supports, fittings, shut-off valves, traps, vents, and other plumbing components.
  • Read and interpret plumbing plans, blueprints, diagrams, and installation specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble, and secure piping and tubing.
  • Coordinate plumbing installation with electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other production departments.
  • Identify conflicts between plumbing, electrical, structural, and mechanical components and communicate them to supervision.
  • Troubleshoot installation problems and make necessary corrections.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets GOC quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Properly use and maintain hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other plumbing equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Follow applicable plumbing, fuel-gas, and manufactured-housing requirements.
  • Complete required production and quality-control documentation.

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Previous plumbing installation experience.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot residential plumbing systems.
  • Experience with water supply, drain/waste/vent systems, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, plumbing drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to measure accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to safely use common plumbing hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in various positions, including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working overhead.
