About Us: Medi-Weightloss® of Georgetown and Round Rock is a physician-supervised weight loss practice. Our patients come back every week, often for a year or more. That changes the job. You are not moving strangers through a room — you learn names, you see the numbers move, and you are part of why they move.
We are looking for someone who wants both halves of this work: the clinical skill and the coaching.
Why Join Us:
A schedule you keep. Tuesday through Saturday, closed Sunday and Monday. No nights. And we keep trained temp staff on call, so when you need time off, you take it.
Pay we will state up front. $20.00 per hour, reviewed as your skills and responsibilities grow.
Room to grow into coaching. This role starts clinical and opens into patient coaching as you learn our program. How fast is up to you.
Real training. Full program protocol, body composition analysis, and the coaching methods behind our results.
Benefits. Paid time off, paid holidays, and health insurance, subject to plan documents and eligibility. Full-time team members are also eligible for the Medi-Weightloss® program at no cost. Participation is voluntary.
Primary Responsibilities: Patient vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, injections, patient coaching, and front office support. We value clinical skill paired with the ability to have an honest, encouraging conversation with a patient about a hard subject.
Administrative Duties:
Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system
Conduct follow-up calls to discuss patient progress and address concerns
Refer non-routine, sensitive, or complex requests to the appropriate staff member
Greet patients and maintain a friendly, professional environment
Monitor daily inventory levels of clinical and office supplies
Scan and upload documents into patient files daily
Participate in clinic marketing efforts and community outreach
Clinical Duties (performed under physician delegation and supervision):
Obtain patient vitals, body composition measurements, and EKG; perform phlebotomy and urinalysis
Administer IM injections
Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain patient laboratory results
Process and coordinate provider-ordered referrals
Document progress notes and patient data in the EMR
Maintain a clean, stocked, inspection-ready clinical space
Patient Coaching:
Collect intake information and present the Medi-Weightloss® program. The physician or nurse practitioner performs the clinical evaluation and sets the treatment plan.
Review progress with patients each visit and encourage adherence to the provider's plan
Educate patients on nutrition, activity, and behavior change
Follow up between visits to answer questions and keep patients on track
Requirements:
Hands-on phlebotomy experience. We will ask you to demonstrate a draw during the interview.
Ability to place a 12-lead EKG without a reference
Comfort administering IM injections
Ability to discuss weight, nutrition, and measurements with patients as a routine clinical topic
Strong communication skills and genuine patience
Medical Assistant certification is welcome and shortens your ramp, but it is not required. We hire on demonstrated skill.
A plus: front office, insurance and VOB experience, EMR proficiency, a background in nutrition or exercise, or Spanish fluency.
Salary: $20.00 per hour
