We're looking for a dependable Maintenance Welding Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of equipment used in industrial operations. In this hands-on role, you'll apply your welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and commitment to safety to help keep equipment operating efficiently while supporting fabrication projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Perform welding repairs on industrial equipment to restore safe and reliable operation.
  • Fabricate new components, tooling, and equipment to support maintenance and operational needs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to complete fabrication and repair work accurately.
  • Operate MIG welders for aluminum and stainless steel applications.
  • Operate TIG welders, AC/DC stick welders, oxy-acetylene cutting and welding equipment, and plasma cutters.
  • Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while following OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Evaluate repair needs and determine the most appropriate materials for each project.
  • Assess equipment and job conditions to determine when welding can be performed safely.
  • Select the most effective and efficient welding or repair method for each assignment.
  • Support the design and development of new tooling and equipment improvements.
  • Assist team members by providing guidance on equipment operation and troubleshooting when needed.
  • Travel to customer or field job sites as required to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • Work flexible schedules, including extended hours or holidays, when business needs require.
  • Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.

 

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma with coursework in industrial or vocational trades required.
  • Technical school training or equivalent hands-on experience in welding or fabrication preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in an equipment maintenance environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Certification in MIG/TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum (vertical up) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing, manual labor, and positioning in and around confined spaces.
  • Ability to work around welding heat, fumes, chemicals, and industrial environments while wearing required PPE, including respirators.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations for days or weeks as needed and work schedules that may exceed a typical 8-hour shift.
