How you’ll contribute 

senior radiation therapist who excels in this role:

  • The Lead Radiation Therapist will work directly with the Senior Director of Oncology Services to oversee daily activities in the department. 

  • The lead therapist will assist the Director in identifying problems, recommending solutions and assisting in the improvement of technical and quality assurance programs.

  • Therapists at this level are expected to have a thorough understanding and proficiency in the procedures performed in the Radiation Oncology departments. 

  • The Lead Radiation Therapist has significant responsibility for the efficient operation of the treatment delivery and simulation work area, communicating and coordinating daily operations with the staff. 

  • Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. 

  • Duties may include reviewing prescription and diagnosis; acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices; and maintaining records, reports, and files. 

  • May assist in dosimetry procedures and tumor localization.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a current associate’s in program of discipline. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Associate’s degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required; Bachelor’s degree Preferred. 

  • Licenses: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy. 

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
