About the Role
As a Mid-Level iOS Engineer, you will contribute to the development, improvement, and reliability of Toters’ iOS mobile applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other mobile engineers to build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly features that support key product and business goals.
You will be responsible for translating product requirements into well-designed iOS features, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to the overall quality and performance of the Toters App. You will take ownership of assigned features from implementation to release, while collaborating with senior engineers on architectural decisions, technical design, and best practices.

In this role, you will help improve the mobile codebase, support testing and release activities, contribute to technical discussions, and continuously strengthen engineering standards across the iOS team.

In This Role, You Will

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to translate product requirements into well-built iOS features.
  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS features with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience.
  • Take ownership of assigned features from development through testing, release, and post-launch support.
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable Swift code that follows team standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable components and patterns that improve consistency and development efficiency across the mobile codebase.
  • Integrate iOS applications with backend APIs, ensuring stable and well-defined communication between mobile and backend systems.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical challenges in collaboration with the team.
  • Support application performance optimization to ensure smooth and responsive user interactions.
  • Contribute to code reviews by providing constructive feedback and learning from peer and senior engineer feedback.
  • Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, UI testing, and manual validation of features.
  • Support improvements in CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and testing practices.
  • Help monitor application health using analytics, crash reporting, and observability tools.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Raise technical risks, dependencies, and blockers early to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and strengthen engineering standards.
  • Continuously learn and apply new iOS development practices, tools, and technologies.


Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in iOS application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, standard libraries, and iOS frameworks.
  • Experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit for building iOS applications.
  • Good understanding of the mobile development life cycle, including development, testing, release, and App Store publishing.
  • Solid understanding of iOS architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating mobile applications with backend services.
  • Good knowledge of memory management, concurrency, multithreading, networking, and file handling in iOS.
  • Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues.
  • Familiarity with app analytics and crash reporting tools such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar tools.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Swift Concurrency, including async/await, Tasks, and structured concurrency.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, Fastlane, Bitrise, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with unit testing, snapshot testing, and UI testing frameworks.
  • Experience optimizing mobile app performance, including memory usage, caching, and responsiveness.
  • Familiarity with reactive programming frameworks such as Combine or RxSwift.
  • Strong experience with Git and modern code review workflows.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
  • Interest in improving engineering practices, code quality, and mobile platform reliability.
