Position Summary:
The Applications Engineer serves as a technical expert and strategic partner, bridging the gap between engineering, sales, and customers. The Applications Engineer will leverage deep technical knowledge to design solutions, optimize applications, and deliver outstanding customer support.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers to understand technical requirements, challenges, and objectives, providing solutions that align with business needs.
- Lead application development, testing, and validation of solutions for customer-specific use cases.
- Act as a subject matter expert during pre-sales and post-sales engagements, delivering presentations, demonstrations, and technical support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product development, and engineering teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical resolutions for complex customer issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, application notes, and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategy.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing expertise and promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
- Support product roadmap planning by providing customer and market insights to the product management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, or related field);
- 8–10+ years of experience in applications engineering, solutions engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods
- Occasional light lifting of office items
