IMEG is hiring a Virtual Design Technician Coordinator in Germantown, MD, to produce models and documentation using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. In this role, you’ll work closely with Technicians/Coordinators, Designers, and Engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. You’ll also be expected to work within the project’s monetary budget.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Model, edit, rework, and update models and drawings as communicated by project designers through markups
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to develop models and drawings
  • Assist engineers and designers with field measurements of existing building systems and prepare models and drawings from field data
  • Export documents and transfer files to clients
  • Follow established standards for modeling and production of drawings and are of quality acceptable to the company
  • Coordinate models and workflow between members of the design team

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred
  • No experience required
  • Due to the nature of this work, applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance
  • Revit skills desired
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans and models desired
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering as-built drawings desired
  • Basic experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High level of professionalism

Salary Range: $22.00- $24.00. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
