Description

  

Responsibilities:

· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and event planners.

· Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new social business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

· Collaboration: Work closely with the resort management team to create promotional materials and campaigns that enhance the resort's visibility.

· Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events staff to promote and book weddings, parties, and group events, ensuring a seamless client experience.

· Sales Reporting: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports for upper management.

· Interacting and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, caterers, vendors, and guests to ensure excellent and high-quality guest experiences.

· Maintain a welcoming environment and demeanor while servicing in person, on the phone, or via email.

· Responding to emails in a timely manner – no later than 24 hours.

· Maintaining office and venue aesthetics when hosting tours or appointments.

· Creating and distributing event information (final guest count, signed vendor guidelines, final timeline, final menu, etc.) to respective staff and departments to ensure a successful event.

· Oversee event set-up per the client’s specifications including setting up their personal decorative items.

· Ensures total compliance with the contracts, rules, and local regulations.

· Assisting and supporting with Events Team, such as but not limited to: overseeing vendor set-up and assisting with events.

· Coordinating with vendors before and on the day of the wedding to ensure that the event runs smoothly, and the timeline is followed to guarantee client satisfaction.

· Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Sales and Marketing

· Attend Team meetings at any venue as needed.

· Dress Attire: Business casual – no blue jeans or sneakers, no bare shoulders, blazer required for all appointments/tours. See employee handbook for details.


 
 

 
 

Requirements

 An Event Sales Manager must:· Be able to manage multiple short-term and long-term priorities in an effective and organized manner in the execution of successful events.· Be dependable, able to work independently as well as in a team environment.· Be flexible in new changes and protocols set in place by the company.· Have a positive attitude as well as reflecting a “team” mentality.· Be self-motivated, professional and is able to manage a high volume of clients and follow up with proficient multi-tasking skills.· Can be a quick thinker and problem solver.· Build strong and positive relationships with clients and vendors.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
  • Flexible schedule, with availability for evening, weekend, and holiday events as needed.

Qualifications:· 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales or event experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Hospitality experience preferred 
  • Resort experience preferred
