Box Truck Driver Eggs/Cartons - Reports to Shipping Managers

Hillandale Farms is a fast paced, high-energy company that delivers fresh shell eggs to the Mid-Atlantic States 7 days a week. As a Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for moving either eggs or cartons between production facilities. This position does not require a CDL. However, a DOT physical and a good driving record is required.

Job Functions:

• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 15,000 lbs.

• Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle.

• Safely and efficiently, handle and unload goods at selected destinations.

• Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage.

• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.

• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries.

• Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.

• Fuel both truck and refer every day and as needed..

• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.

• Adhere to company rules and regulations.

• Make safety a priority at all times.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• DOT Physical

• At least 18 years of age.

• No more than three moving violations in last three years.

• No criminal background or DUI’s.

• Be able to communicate and converse with a variety of warehouse personnel.

• Must pass a background and drug test.

• Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who performs at the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

• Alert focused and detail oriented.

• Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.

• Self-starter who works well independently.

• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.

• High level of composure and good stress management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must possess valid Driver’s License

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, crouch, push, pull, lift and climb.

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain and confined spaces.
