Summary Performs a wide variety of janitorial and custodial tasks in contracted public buildings ensuring quality standards are met. Duties and Responsibilities Performs a wide variety of cleaning tasks to include, but not be limited to:  sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, emptying and cleaning ash trays, restroom cleaning and floor maintenance such as stripping and waxing, etc. Ensures that equipment used in the performance of all duties is maintained in a clean and operable condition.  Reports any problems with equipment to Custodial Project Manager in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned by Custodial Project Manager to include, but not be limited to:  snow removal, grass cutting, etc. Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to. Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Custodial Project Manager. Positions Supervised None   QualificationsEducation and Experience No formal education required Must have a qualifying disability that meets the criteria for state or federal set aside contracts. Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Familiar with general janitorial procedures for cleaning public buildings.
