Maintenance Worker (Facilities Associate)

Location: Based in Gettysburg, PA | Serving multiple bank locations

Build, Maintain, and Protect the Facilities That Support Our Community Bank

If you’re the kind of person who notices problems before they become issues—and you take pride in keeping buildings safe, clean, and running smoothly—this role gives you visible impact every single day at ACNB Bank. As a Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting the safety, appearance, and reliability of our bank’s facilities across Gettysburg and surrounding locations.

This is not a “fix-it-when-it-breaks” job. It’s an opportunity to be the go-to professional who ensures our buildings, systems, and grounds consistently reflect the quality and trust our customers expect.

What You Bring to the Table

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. work indoors and outdoors, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling between locations
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams and external vendors

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeping all bank facilities in top working order, proactively identifying and resolving maintenance issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance, including inspections and upkeep of fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and physical security components.
  • Maintaining professional-looking grounds and interiors, from seasonal landscaping and snow removal to painting, carpet cleaning, and parking lot maintenance.
  • Supporting renovations, ATM installations, and office moves, coordinating closely with internal teams and external vendors to meet specifications and timelines.
  • Managing maintenance resources responsibly, including assisting with vendor bids, overseeing contracted work, purchasing supplies, and maintaining accurate records and fixed asset inventories.
  • Communicating clearly and reliably, keeping supervisors informed of issues, progress, and recommendations to prevent disruptions to bank operations.

Why You’ll Love this Role

  • Visible impact – Your work directly affects the safety, comfort, and appearance of facilities used by coworkers and customers every day.
  • Variety in your work – No two days are the same, from hands-on repairs to project support and vendor coordination.
  • Stability and purpose – Support a long-standing community-focused bank with facilities that matter to the people we serve.
  • Autonomy with trust – You’re relied upon as a professional, not micromanaged.
  • Local focus – Based in Gettysburg with travel to nearby bank locations, not constant long-distance jobs.

If you take pride in doing things the right way, fixing issues before they escalate, and keeping facilities running safely and smoothly, this role offers steady work, clear expectations, and meaningful contribution.
