PROCUREMENT LEADER (Permanent)
Our client, local nonprofit in WNY, is seeking a Procurement Leader to join their team. This position is open due to an upcoming retirement and is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on the organization. This role reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of vendor contracts, from initial drafting and negotiation through renewal, compliance oversight, and final closeout
- Manage roughly 200 vendors at a time, with around 30 that repeat often, developing productive & professional relationships to ultimately favor the organization
- Remain up to date with legal/compliance guidelines & restrictions in order to effectively review/negotiate contracts
- Conduct strategic vendor selection while leading RFP & RFQ processes
- Regularly monitor vendor performance to ensure contract compliance
- Analyze data regarding purchasing trends, spending, etc. to identify cost saving opportunities
- Lead and mentor a small purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- Utilize different technologies to improve workflows, create automation opportunities, and improve ERP optimization
- Ensure all contract documents, vendor records, insurance compliance paperwork, etc. is up to date, accurate, and organized
- Build out purchasing workflows while utilizing Sage to streamline processes and increase effectiveness
- Analyze procurement policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure effective implementation and effectiveness
- Collaborate with various internal team members to enhance purchasing initiatives & support organizational objectives
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- 1st shift; 100% In-office
- $70,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience
- EXCELLENT benefits (company pays 100% of one of the healthcare premiums, company pays 100% of dental premium, 2 weeks’ vacation (may be negotiable), 15 paid holidays, 3 personal days, 8 sick days, 6% match on retirement (eligible after 1 year; 100% vested immediately))
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years’ progressive strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or contract management experience
- Expert computer skills; work within ERP systems
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
