Overview
Apogee has a new and exciting position for Advanced Software-Based Testbeds Lead that Leads the design, analysis, and deployment of advanced software-based testbeds and simulators to evaluate and compare competing technical concepts. Ensures integration of testbeds into NASIC Unified Cloud non-production environments and alignment with Services of Common Concern.

Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering analysis using software-based testbeds and simulators to assess competing technical solutions.
- Design, configure, and maintain testbed architectures within NASIC Unified Cloud non-production environments.
- Plan and execute test campaigns to evaluate system performance, interoperability, and feasibility.
- Integrate testbeds with required Services of Common Concern and enterprise services.
- Analyze test results and provide decision-ready engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate with product owners, developers, and enterprise architects to ensure testbed relevance to mission needs.
- Maintain and deliver a Prioritized Testbed Backlog and Progress Review summary at the end of each sprint.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCIEducation / Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, modeling & simulation, or test and evaluation for complex systems.
- Experience designing and operating software-based testbeds or simulation environments.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment in non-production cloud environments.
- Proven ability to integrate and test systems with shared enterprise services and interfaces.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and briefing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NASIC Unified Cloud (NUC) or similar DoD cloud environments.
- Background in DevSecOps, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience comparing and down-selecting among competing technical concepts for government programs.
- Knowledge of Services of Common Concern and IC/DoD interoperability standards.
