Pay:Â $16 - $19 per hour, plus benefits. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

The Role
At Hawthorne Valley Farm Store, we are committed to providing the highest quality biodynamic, organic, local, and regional food to our community while supporting the broader mission of Hawthorne Valley Association in agriculture, education, and the arts. The Farm Store is also an educational resource for the community on ecological, environmental, and food-related issues.
The Grab-n-Go Coordinator supports the daily execution of the Farm Store's grab-n-go food program. Working under the direction of the Chef and Kitchen Lead, this position helps ensure that grab-n-go offerings are prepared, packaged, labeled, stocked, and presented in a timely and attractive manner.
The successful candidate is organized, dependable, attentive to detail, and able to work independently while also collaborating closely with the kitchen and store teams. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on food preparation and takes pride in providing customers with fresh, high-quality food.

- Schedule may include weekends and other days based on the needs of the Farm Store; specific schedule to be discussed during the interview process
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily preparation and execution of the Farm Store's grab-n-go program under the direction of the Chef and Kitchen Lead
- Prepare grab-n-go offerings according to established recipes and specifications
- Portion, package, label, and present products accurately and consistently
- Maintain grab-n-go selections throughout the day, ensuring products are fresh, attractive, and well-stocked
- Monitor product levels and communicate production needs and low-stock items to the Chef or Kitchen Lead
- Follow established food safety, storage, cooling, sanitation, and labeling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas
- Help ensure consistency in product quality, taste, appearance, freshness, and presentation
- Provide welcoming and attentive customer service when interacting with Farm Store customers
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and store staff to support smooth daily operations
- Communicate quality concerns, workflow issues, and other needs to supervisors
- Support ordering, stocking, inventory, receiving, or other kitchen-related tasks as needed
- Attend department meetings and contribute to positive team communication
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Lead

Qualifications
- Previous food preparation or food service experience preferred; experience in a deli, restaurant, café, or catering operation is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and established standards
- Ability to work independently, follow through on commitments, and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Clear and effective communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Weekend availability is required
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements
- Ability to safely use kitchen equipment and work in close quarters with other staff members
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills preferred
