Position: Instructional System Designer (ISD)

Location: Wright Patterson AFB, OH (On-site)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0730-1630

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or a related field; or five (5) years of applied experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Learning theory, psychology of learning, or educational psychology.
  • Instructional design principles and methodologies.
  • Educational assessment and evaluation.
  • Instructional product development.
  • Proficiency with modern instructional technologies, including Adobe Captivate, SCORM package development, gaming, 3D modeling, virtual reality, and simulation technologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the start of performance.



Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or a closely related discipline



Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop multimedia, graphics, and instructional media projects in collaboration with subject matter experts and production teams.
  • Recommend instructional platforms, development tools, delivery methods, and learning technologies to meet training requirements.
  • Develop, manage, test, and evaluate online courseware while providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Create training plans and support the validation phase of the ADDIE instructional design process.
  • Edit and maintain curriculum materials, ensuring accuracy in grammar, formatting, and instructional content.
  • Support curriculum development initiatives, e-learning projects, and educational activities across USAFSAM programs.
  • Apply the ADDIE instructional design methodology throughout all phases of course development.
  • Design instructional materials, including learner guides, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
  • Utilize government-provided software and instructional technologies to support course development.
  • Analyze student feedback and course evaluations to recommend instructional improvements based on ISD principles.
  • Coordinate project requirements, facilitate stakeholder meetings, develop storyboards, and obtain customer approvals for course delivery.
  • Provide instructional design consultation and ensure educational quality throughout multimedia development projects.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Advisor or Course Director.
