As an Active Older Adults Program Director, you will develop, coordinate, and provide administrative support for the department at a center, as defined by budget size, staff count, and program scope and scale. If hired, you will supervise department staff and their functions to ensure quality programs. You will also be responsible for providing leadership, instruction and motivation for program participants through innovative program development, evaluations, and ongoing training of staff and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and evaluate engaging programs, activities, group exercise classes and events focused on Active Older Adult members.
- Create, schedule, and lead health and well-being group exercise classes that support all fitness levels and adhere to current safety guidelines.
- Motivate and support members in achieving fitness goals across flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular conditioning.
- Identify, develop, and expand AOA programs, small groups, and special events to meet community needs and align with Association strategic goals.
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships to grow AOA membership and increase member engagement.
- Track program participation, volunteer hours, staffing coverage, and usage data to ensure safety, effectiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Manage program budgets in partnership with the Sr. Director, including purchasing equipment and monitoring expenses in accordance with Association policies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member and community inquiries or concerns.
- As part of the Health and Well Being Team, you will also be responsible for helping to cover group exercise classes, events, and activities should staff call out.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree and/or two years related knowledge and experience that includes supervision, fiscal management, program development, staff and volunteer development.
- Knowledge of current health and well-being safety and program standards, latest trends in the industry and the ability to articulate and incorporate them.
- Knowledge of and experience in planning, organizing, and implementing age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities, Including group exercise classes.
- Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations
- Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
- CPR for the Professional, AED First Aid, and Oxygen certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Wage:聽$21.47聽to聽$23.47聽per hour聽(Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Key Responsibilities
| 路Design, implement, and evaluate programs, activities, and events, with a focus on AOA members. 路Create and schedule health and well-being classes. 路Identify and cultivate community partnerships with the goal of bringing more AOA members into our centers and increasing engagement of current AOA members. 路Play an active role in managing Insurance-Based Membership opportunities. 路Establish new program activities and expand programs to meet the needs of the community in accordance with Association strategic and operating plans. 路Coordinate use of facilities for program activities and events. 路Recruit, train, and support AOA volunteers. 路Confidently lead members through health and well-being programs while demonstrating current safety guidelines to assist in improving the four components of fitness; flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, and cardio-respiratory conditioning, for all fitness levels. 路Assist members with fitness goals through motivation, instruction, and support. 路Compile program statistics. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program. 路Track hourly usage to ensure the department has enough staff for safety. 路Provide input to help inform and develop marketing materials and support distribution of program information. 路Collaborate with the Association Operational Focus Groups and other directors of YMCA PKC branches to ensure consistent association-wide programming. 路Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations. 路Respond to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. 路Identify and develop AOA small groups, activities, and events. 路In partnership with the Sr. Director, manage and implement the approved program budget. 路Research, obtain approval and purchase new equipment. 路Utilize purchase orders, check requests and expense reports per association policies. Use a system to track and monitor ongoing expenses, purchase orders and inventory. 路In partnership with the Sr. Director, recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule and direct staff and volunteers as needed. 路Work in collaboration with senior management to review and evaluate staff performance. 路Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. 路Support development and implementation of program specific volunteer training program. Assist staff in identifying productive and creative volunteer roles. 路Review, approve, and submit staff time cards to payroll department per schedule. 路Track volunteer hours and record appropriately. 路Schedule shifts and process time off request forms for staff. 路Provide all departmental staff with professional development. 路Ensure that all mandatory training is scheduled, funded, and completed. 路Ensure records of staff certifications are current and complete. 路Meet performance measurement by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission. 路Assist staff leadership team in reaching campaign goals through recruiting campaigners, making personal asks and supporting branch events. 路Develop relationships with internal/external members to secure and support branch financial development success. 路Provide training and equip staff with tools to better communicate our cause. 路Cleaning and sanitation protocols will be required of all staff. 路Staff will be responsible for frequent touchpoint cleaning and sanitizing in specific areas. 路Train and support staff on safety protocols, cleaning and sanitizing. 路Staff are expected to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE. 路Embraces and actively promotes an inclusive and equitable work environment. 路Other duties as assigned. |
