Job DetailsJob Location: SP Gilbert - Gilbert, AZ 85233Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: DayJob Category: SalesJob Summary The Sales Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that enhance the effectiveness, productivity, and performance of Senergy Petroleum’s sales organization. This role supports new hire onboarding, ongoing sales development, and product knowledge initiatives across commercial fuels, lubricants, cardlock, DEF, and petroleum equipment lines.  The Sales Training Specialist partners closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Operations, and HR to ensure training programs align with company strategy, reinforce sales processes, and drive revenue growth. This position plays a key role in building a high-performing, knowledgeable, and customer-focused sales team.   Duties and Responsibilities  Training Development & Delivery Design, develop, and implement structured sales training programs for new hires and tenured sales employees. Facilitate onboarding programs for Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales, and Key Account roles. Deliver training through a variety of methods, including in-person sessions, virtual workshops, ride-alongs, and e-learning modules. Create engaging training materials, including presentations, playbooks, job aids, and product guides aligned with Senergy’s offerings. Ensure training content reflects current market conditions, supplier programs, and company initiatives. Sales Process & Performance Enablement Reinforce standardized sales processes, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing strategies. Train employees on effective use of CRM tools (NetSuite), including pipeline tracking, activity management, and reporting expectations. Partner with Sales Leadership to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions. Support sales teams in improving key performance metrics such as conversion rates, margin growth, and customer retention. Product & Industry Training Develop and deliver product training across fuels, lubricants, DEF, cardlock, and petroleum equipment. Collaborate with supplier partners (e.g., Chevron) to incorporate technical training, product updates, and industry best practices. Educate sales teams on competitive positioning, market trends, and value-based selling strategies. Field Coaching & Support Conduct ride-alongs and field observations to assess sales effectiveness and provide real-time coaching. Provide ongoing mentorship and support to sales representatives to enhance customer engagement and selling skills. Partner with Sales Managers to reinforce training concepts and ensure adoption in the field. Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Measure training effectiveness through KPIs, feedback, and sales performance data. Continuously improve training programs based on business needs, market changes, and participant feedback. Maintain training documentation, schedules, and records to ensure consistency and scalability. Collaboration & Communication Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and HR to align training with company initiatives. Support rollout of new products, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns through targeted training efforts. Assist in developing internal communications that reinforce training initiatives and sales best practices. Physical Demands Able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Able to move freely around work and customer sites. Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop. Able to lift up to 75 lbs. Able to walk/climb various terrains. Able to move about office setting to complete responsibilities. Frequent use of phone, computer, and office equipment. Travel Local area continuously. Travel up to 50% of time. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Three or more years of experience in lubricant applications, technical services, engineering, or a related field. Strong technical understanding of lubricants, applications, and equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly. Strong customer service orientation and ability to work cross-functionally. Proficient in computer systems and ability to learn company software and tools. Adheres to company values and ethical expectations. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Experience in the lubricant distribution, manufacturing, or industrial services industry. Oil analysis interpretation experience and/or lubrication certifications (STLE, CLS, OMA, etc.). Experience supporting sales teams in a technical or pre-sales capacity.
