About the Role:
Join FM Steel Construction as an Ironworker General Foreman in Gilbert, AZ, and lead our skilled team in delivering exceptional steel construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of steel erection, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate and manage a team of ironworkers to achieve project timelines and goals.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation of steel structures.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Maintain communication with project managers and subcontractors for seamless workflow.
- Implement training programs to enhance team skills and safety awareness.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including daily reports and safety logs.
- Promote a culture of safety and efficiency on all job sites.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in steel construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Valid OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of safety regulations in construction.
- Strong understanding of steel erection processes and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical ability to perform tasks on construction sites, including lifting and climbing.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
