Job DetailsJob Location: Gilbert Campus - Gilbert, AZ 85296Position Type: Full TimePOSITION SUMMARY The Groups Coordinator provides leadership, training, and development to current and future group leaders.  This position implements the infrastructure for Groups where friendships centered on God’s Word are formed, adhering to Sun Valley Community Church’s (SVCC) ministry strategies, and sermon-based philosophy.   The Groups Coordinator serves as champion of Group ministry and philosophy within the Next Step team.  In all actions, they reflect the SV team leadership distinctives.      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Implement SVCC systems to place individuals into groups Consistently coach and train group leaders Recruit, train, and retain group leaders Update and maintain information in the SVCC database(s) Partner with the Next Steps team to fully implement SVCC group model and systems Utilize the group format to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus  Collaborate with other campuses in group ministry while maintaining alignment with SVCC best practices       QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to strategize, lead, and develop others Proactive, flexible, teamwork orientation Two years of experience leading groups and building/sustaining systems Agrees and aligns with the vision, values, and doctrine statement of SVCC   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS             Bachelor’s degree in related field Three years of experience as a full-time staff member in a church setting of over 2,000 weekly attendees
