Job DetailsJob Location: Rocket Industrial Elgin - Gilberts, IL 60136Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayWe're looking to fill this role at one of our following locations; Madison, WI, Wausau, WI, or Elgin, IL.    SCOPE OF ROLE: The Packaging Engineer is a critical knowledge worker at Rocket Industrial, acting as both a solutions consultant to our sales staff and customers, and the curator of appropriate solutions. This individual will provide technical expertise to the sales team by identifying, designing, testing, and presenting custom solutions to our customers. Alongside communicating with our sales reps, this role will also directly communicate with clients. The Packaging Engineer will have a thorough understanding of the competition and how we can best differentiate ourselves. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifying and pursuing solutions from insights that provide the most value to our clients Increasing the profitability of existing products Designing, developing and sourcing new products and vendors Developing and maintaining strong vendor relationships Making regular end-user calls to facilitate sales and show technical expertise Providing training to sales reps as needed QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Knowledge of ISTA testing and custom test standards Test Report creation Experience in Corrugated / Folding Carton design software, preferred Experience with Kongsberg cutting table, preferred
