We are now seeking a Bilingual Spanish Full-time Member Services Officer/Universal Teller to join our team! Ideal candidates:
- Have at least three years of Financial Services experience
- Comfortable with business development events and cross sales
- Enjoy promoting the Credit Union at community events, informing members about products and services and attracting new memberships.
- Have excellent communication & people skills
- Thrive on building relationships, not afraid to make connections with potential members.
- Fluent in Spanish, verbal and written
This role will independently process a full range of member requests including establishing new memberships, advising on digital services, originating and funding loans, troubleshooting complex transactions offering solutions and developing meaningful relationships with members. In addition, the Member Service Officer will represent PremierOne CU throughout the community to increase brand visibility and develop new business opportunities in the Gilroy Community.
Essential Job Functions include: Business Development, meeting sales targets and membership goals, assisting members with operational functions below.Â
Operational Functions:
- Receive transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments and merchandise, and assists members with opening and closing accounts; handles complex member requests, including trusts and POAs. Is able to competently answer questions about digital services such as trouble shooting issues, or how to access digital product information; is well versed on the Credit Union's products and services and is able to confidently answer questions and resolves member problems; refers problems that are beyond their authority to the manager.
- Corresponds with members and prospective members to assist with lending needs – through questions, interviews for loan applicants; preparation of necessary documents for originating and funding loans. Assists with approved loan documents for disbursement/filing. Must have the appropriate knowledge to assure documents are in compliance with Credit Union policies and legal requirements.
- Keeps up to date with ongoing promotions and engages with the membership and employees to achieve or exceed the established sales and service goals through building of member relationships.
- Performs and processes in a dual custody role; ATM processing, vault balancing, CDM servicing, bulk coin counting and night drop deposits. Balances individual cash drawer and merchandise daily and maintains security of all cash, merchandise and negotiables.
- Acquire new business through outbound sales calls or on-site visits. This may include involvement in hosting in person or virtual meetings or attending business development events.
- Creates strong business relationships and contacts within the community. Conducts outreach and acts as a liaison with select community organizations that support the local community.
Education and Qualifications
- Three to five years of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Bilingual English/Spanish

Salary Range: $29.00 to $36.00 per hour DOEÂ
