Job DetailsJob Location: GILROY, CA 95020Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 HourlyAs a security guard you will assist with such duties as responding to emergency and/or alarm calls and making sure the park is safe and secure for guests and employees. Must be at least 18 to apply!  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate disturbances such as theft, unlawful intrusion, erratic behavior, fires, and property. damage and provide assistance to address the disturbances. Operate handheld and walk through scanners. Help eliminate any weapons from entering the Park. Monitor and communicate using a two-way radio. Assist lost children and guests. Assist in maintaining crowd control. Respond to emergency and/or alarm calls, as necessary. Write legible, timely, concise and accurate reports for incidents, investigations, and automobile usage, and record all security actions thoroughly. Appear in court as a witness on cases brought to trial. Enforce all policies, procedures, and criminal law as applicable to park operation. Performs all job duties in a safe/responsible manner. Performs other duties as assigned  Job Requirements: High school graduate, GED or equivalent.  One to three years of security experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Must have strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.   Must have full availability including weekends and holidays. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform basic math functions. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision. Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines. Ability to effectively communicate with subordinates. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.  Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
