Job DetailsJob Location: Cumberland University - Lebanon, TN 37087Position Type: Adjunct InstructorEducation Level: Master's Degree Position Title Adjunct Instructor of English Hours Per Week Not to exceed 37 Posting Date  Open Until Filled Closing Date Open Until Filled Job Type Adjunct Instructor Internal Category Adjunct Instructor Position Purpose Applications are sought for adjunct instructors of English writing workshop and English Composition I and II courses. Courses may be taught on campus and/or at dual enrollment sites in area high schools. These courses are options for the fulfillment of the Cumberland University's General Education Core. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Demonstrated inter- and intrapersonal skills, especially in engaging with traditional and non-traditional university students. Evidence of high level of personal agency and initiative. Demonstrated organizational skills. Successful use of multiple creative instructional strategies and technologies in the classroom and online to improve educational outcomes of diverse learners. Experience Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching at the collegiate level. Education Completed Master's degree in English. 18 graduate hours in English completed as part of a Master's degree in related field may be accepted with other exceptional qualifications. Additional Information Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN and potentially at high school site(s) in Wilson County TN for dual enrollment courses.
