Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to shredder, eddy current, baler, etc.
- Acetylene torch and plasma cutting
- MIG welding and stick welding using 7018
- Band Saw operation
- Change liners, grates, hammers, etc.
- Maintain conveyor systems, gear boxes, motors, etc
- Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
- Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
- Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects
