Job DetailsJob Location: Span Tech, LLC - Glasgow, KY 42141Salary Range: $20.49 - $30.05 HourlyProduction Floater QualificationsSummary Sets up, operates, and maintains production equipment safely and efficiently to meet job specs, quality standards, and deadlines. Cross-trains across multiple production departments as needed. Essential Duties Operate production equipment safely and within spec. Maintain materials/supplies inventory; notify supply chain when reorders are needed. Complete daily production reports, inspection sheets, and signoff sheets. Read and use basic shop tools (tape measure, digital micrometer, angle gauges). Enter job information into LaborTrak. Perform preventative maintenance, adjustments, and related paperwork. Produce quality parts safely, using required PPE. Support Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Safety initiatives. Keep work area clean and organized. Work cooperatively with coworkers, management, customers, and visitors; stay flexible and willing to learn new skills. Overtime, weekend work, and travel may be required. Role-Specific Duties Assembler Reads blueprints; assembles conveyors (bed sections, bends, drives/idlers, guide rails, supports, motors); cuts/installs wear stripping; uses hand and power tools; builds simple conveyors start to finish. Rod Machining Technician Operates/troubleshoots Escomatic machines, straighteners, and rod washers; configures gearboxes, pulleys, belts, cams; uses optical comparator for inspection; distinguishes rod materials; sharpens/replaces tooling; performs inspections every 15 minutes. Wire Coat Technician Sets up wire spool; operates stem carrier, chiller, tensioner, ultrasonic cleaner, induction heater, coater, laser gauges, skiving die, rewind; uses metric calipers; logs production data into rod tracker and LaborTrak. Laser Technician Creates cutting programs using Radan software/DXF files; sets up and runs laser cutter; inspects cuts visually; clears scrap; operates forklift; runs deburring machine; tracks stock/sheet inventory; labels and routes finished parts. CNC Turning Technician Sets up/operates Okuma CNC lathe, Colchester manual lathe, and bandsaw; reads prints to determine tooling/programs; runs/edits programs; inspects parts with calipers/height gauge; manages bar feeder stock; maintains chip conveyor and tramp oil systems. Welder Welds using MIG/TIG on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel; reads blueprints; produces quality parts with proper PPE (hood, respirator); operates saws, mill, sander, plasma cutter, torch, and hand power tools. CNC Press Brake Technician Sets up/operates Mitsubishi press brakes; reads prints and uses calipers/protractors for specs; identifies material type/gauge; selects dies/punches; sequences bends; runs standard programs and creates new ones for nonstandard parts.
