Quality Technician

BASIC POSITION DUTIES:

• To support the layout, testing and inspection requirements for the facility.

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform functions such as: Gage Repair & Calibration, Gage R & R Studies, Precision Inspection, Gage / Fixture Layout.
• Supplement Receiving Inspection and in-process Testing activities.
• Support New Product Launches.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School plus 2 years Vocational Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Field preferred. 
• A minimum of 1-year experience in Automotive/Industrial environment in testing.
• Understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances is a must.

SPECIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Working knowledge of inspection/quality principles.
• Strong written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in and promote a team environment.
• Working knowledge of personal computer applications.
• Knowledge TS16949 Quality System standards.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry and physics in high school or college.
• Knowledge of basic SPC principles.
