Position Summary
The Residential Account Manager identifies and onboards new residential customers in their target markets. They achieve their goals via daily activity including door to door prospecting, lead follow-up and customer appointments.Essential Functions:Ā
Deliver on assigned sales targets byĀ maintainingĀ strongĀ prospectingĀ activities and achieving high appointment and close rates.Ā
Follow up on leads and develop effective relationships with current and prospectiveĀ customersĀ leveragingĀ lead-generating activities such as cold calling,Ā door-to-doorĀ sales, neighborhood/group presentationsĀ as well as attendance at community events.Ā
Educate prospective customers on the conversion to natural gas process, setting clear and honest expectations of timelines and activities.Ā Ā
Build and foster a network of referral partnerships to create new opportunities for customer and revenueĀ growthĀ including relationships with HVAC contractors, real estate professionals, and other trade organizations.Ā
Capture sales activity in Salesforce.Ā
Onboard newĀ residentialĀ customersĀ andĀ recommend improvement measures based on Energy Efficiency Programs.Ā
MaintainĀ accurateĀ records including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, etc.Ā
Attend regular sales meetings and development training.Ā āÆāÆĀ
Perform other duties as assigned.
Environmental Working Conditions:Ā

- Travel/Driving to meet with customersĀ Ā
- Frequently meet with contractors at construction sites with exposure to extreme temperatures, noiseĀ atmospheric conditions such as dust, dampness, humidityĀ
Qualifications
RequiredĀ Experience:Ā Ā
- Bachelorās degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Masterās degree with 0 years of relevant experience
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- The relevant 2 yearsāĀ experience should be from a successful direct sales role in a commissioned sales environment; or relevant work experienceĀ
- Cold calling and door to door sales experienceĀ Ā
- ProvenĀ track recordĀ of meeting and exceeding sales goalsĀ
- Valid driverās licenseĀ
- ProficiencyĀ workingĀ onĀ a CRM platformĀ
- ProficiencyĀ in Microsoft Office SuiteĀ
