At CapCenter, we help individuals and families achieve one of life’s most meaningful milestones—homeownership—while building careers that are just as rewarding. By bringing buying, selling, and home financing together in one place, we create a smarter, more human experience for our clients and a collaborative, high-impact environment for our team. Our mission is rooted in protecting our clients during life’s biggest decisions and making those moments more affordable, transparent, and empowering.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Client Experience Attorney with deep experience in real estate transactional and business-focused legal work to lead and oversee our mortgage and real estate operations. This role is centered on the execution, management, and optimization of residential real estate transactions, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and client experience.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in transactional real estate law and private practice experience, combined with a business-oriented mindset. You will be responsible not only for legal oversight of closings and mortgage transactions, but also for improving how the firm delivers those services—streamlining processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring accountability across the entire client lifecycle.

This is a leadership role for a self-starter who understands both the legal and operational dimensions of real estate practice and is comfortable owning outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume transactional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the firm’s real estate closing practice, including mortgage and transactional workflows
  • Draft and review real estate and mortgage-related documents with precision and efficiency
  • Develop, implement, and refine best practices to improve client service delivery
  • Identify inefficiencies and partner with technology teams to automate and streamline processes
  • Train, mentor, and lead team members to ensure consistent execution of high-quality standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments including technology, sales, finance, and marketing teams
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a strategic leader in advancing the firm’s operational excellence and continuously improve the client experience across all stages of the real estate transaction lifecycle

What We're Looking For:

  • Active law license and J.D. from an accredited law school; bachelor's degree required
  • Active license to practice law in Virginia
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate law with significant transactional and closing experience
  • Business-minded approach with the ability to align legal execution with operational strategy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex legal and financial concepts clearly
  • Strong drafting skills and extensive experience handling complex real estate transactions
  • Demonstrated experience managing real estate closings and mortgage-related transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and drive operational consistency
  • Genuine enthusiasm for client service and a commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience
  • High standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness across all aspects of the role
  • Experience enforcing policies and procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory and legal compliance

We offer a competitive compensation package to include base salary, medical, dental and life insurance benefits, 401K, and paid vacation. We do not discriminate against applicants/employees on any protected basis and are an Equal Opportunity Employer: Veteran/Disability.
