About the Role

We're looking for a Tax Director to join our team! The Tax Director is a key finance leader responsible for shaping and driving Hamilton Beach Brands' global tax strategy. This role oversees all aspects of the Company's tax function, including income tax accounting and compliance, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, tax planning, and tax-related internal controls. Partnering closely with leaders across Finance, Legal, Operations, Commercial teams, HealthBeacon, and external advisors, the Tax Director plays a critical role in managing tax risk, optimizing global tax strategies, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This position provides strategic guidance on complex business initiatives, supports growth opportunities, and helps navigate an evolving global tax landscape. Leading a high-performing tax team and coordinating with co-sourcing partners, the Tax Director ensures the successful execution of global compliance, tax provision, audit support, and special projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking tax professional to make a meaningful impact across a dynamic, global organization while influencing business decisions at the highest levels.

This is a hybrid, position and is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Va. This role will report to the Sr. VP, CFO & Treasurer HBBHC.

Salary Range: $180K–$200K Annually


What You’ll Do

    • Income tax accounting, quarterly and year-end provision, ETR forecasting, and tax footnote support
    • Global tax compliance and co-sourcing oversight
    • Transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and international tax structure
    • Indirect tax, VAT, sales/use tax, and tax controversy management
    • Tax planning, business advisory, and strategic projects
    • Leadership, internal controls, process improvement, and stakeholder communication



What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Law, or related field. 
    • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, US federal and state income tax, and corporate tax compliance.
    • Experience preparing or reviewing corporate tax provisions, ETR analyses, tax footnotes, and related controls. 
    • Experience coordinating external tax advisors and managing tax compliance calendars. 
    • Demonstrated ability to advise business partners on tax implications of operational, legal-entity, treasury, and strategic matters.
    • Strong judgment, documentation discipline, project management, and executive communication skills.
