Overview

We are seeking a highly technical and commercially driven Technical Product Manager – Low-Voltage Infrastructure to lead product strategy, vendor partnerships, and technical enablement across our structured cabling, fiber, low-voltage lighting, and fault managed power solutions portfolio.

This role will serve as the bridge between Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Manufacturer Partners—ensuring we deliver scalable, standards-compliant, and future-ready infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with structured cabling systems and has worked closely with manufacturers such as Belden, CommScope, and Corning, along with exposure to active solutions, emerging power distribution technologies, and intelligent low-voltage lighting platforms.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership

  • Define and execute product roadmap for:
    • Structured cabling infrastructure (copper & fiber)
    • Fault managed power solutions (Class 4 power)
    • Low-voltage lighting systems
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and align offerings with market demand and customer verticals (Data Center, Enterprise, Healthcare, Education, Federal, etc.)
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new infrastructure solutions

Manufacturer & Vendor Management

  • Manage strategic relationships with:
    • Belden
    • Leviton
    • CommScope
    • Corning
    • And others
  • Negotiate product positioning, certifications, rebates, and partner program tiers
  • Lead technical alignment meetings with manufacturers
  • Coordinate product training and technical certifications

Technical Leadership

  • Provide subject matter expertise in:
    • Structured cabling design (Cat6A, Cat8, fiber backbone, OSP, etc.)
    • Fiber optic infrastructure (single-mode, multi-mode, termination, testing)
    • Fault Managed Power (Class 4 systems)
    • Low-voltage lighting distribution
  • Support pre-sales engineering with solution design, BOM validation, and standards compliance
  • Ensure solutions meet BICSI, NEC, and industry standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales to develop solution messaging and competitive positioning
  • Work with Operations to standardize materials and optimize procurement
  • Support Marketing with technical documentation, whitepapers, and case studies
  • Assist Estimating team with product standards and pricing guidance

Lifecycle & Performance Management

  • Track product performance, margins, and adoption rates
  • Conduct competitive analysis and vendor benchmarking
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and differentiation

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in low-voltage infrastructure, structured cabling, or systems integration
  • Direct experience working with manufacturers such as:
    • Belden
    • CommScope
    • Corning
  • Preference for a background in:
    • Copper and fiber structured cabling systems
    • Fault Managed Power (Class 4 preferred)
    • Low-voltage lighting systems
  • Experience supporting design-build or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of NEC, TIA/EIA standards, and BICSI best practices
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • RCDD or equivalent certification
  • Experience in data center or large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to smart building systems and integrated infrastructure
