The Systems Engineer is the connective tissue between Allied Maker’s teams and the tools they rely on: NetSuite, Autodesk Fusion, Wrike, the custom WMS, and the integrations that tie them together. This role goes beyond administration. The Systems Engineer is an integrator of design, planning, and operations, someone who understands how a fixture flows from design through shipping and builds systems that make that flow faster, cleaner, and more measurable. They refine workflows, build automations, and help leadership see team targets clearly.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration

  • Own day-to-day administration of NetSuite (items, BOMs, work orders, inventory, POs, reports, saved searches, roles), Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage, and Wrike
  • Maintain user access, permissions, and licenses across platforms; manage onboarding/offboarding
  • Ensure the custom WMS remains well-integrated with NetSuite and reflects physical operations accurately

Integration & Automation

  • Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite, Fusion, Wrike, and the custom WMS
  • Design automations (SuiteFlow/SuiteScript, Wrike automations, webhooks, scheduled jobs) to reduce manual handoffs
  • Partner with Design, Manufacturing, and Operations to identify high-impact automation opportunities

Workflow Design & Team Targets

  • Translate real-world workflow (design → engineering → vendor → receiving → finishing → assembly → ship) into system workflows and stage gates
  • Build dashboards and reports that surface team targets, lead times, and bottlenecks
  • Partner with department leads to refine status fields, definitions of done, and handoff protocols

Reliability & Change Management

  • Document system configurations and changes; manage release processes for customizations
  • Train teams on workflows and provide Tier-2 support for system issues
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, modules, or integrations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience administering and extending NetSuite in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Fusion / Fusion Manage and Wrike (or similar tools)
  • Proven ability to design workflows and build automations
  • Familiarity with SQL, SuiteScript, or similar scripting tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate operational needs into system solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • NetSuite SuiteScript 2.x or Administrator certification
  • Experience integrating a custom WMS with NetSuite
  • Experience with iPaaS tools (Celigo, Workato, Boomi, Zapier)
  • Background in manufacturing or make-to-order environments
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Discretionary bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO, holidays, parental leave
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Safety shoe and eyewear allowance
  • Employee discount on Allied Maker products

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • On-site at the Glen Cove workshop
  • Primarily office-based with frequent time on the shop floor
  • Requires seated computer work with occasional light lifting
