Job Description:

L3Harris Fuzing & Ordnance Systems is in search of an Engineering Technician who will work with a multi-disciplinary team to collaboratively design, manufacture, and test electronic and electro-mechanical devices that support war fighters for the USA and our allies. The ideal candidate should have experience using manual and automated test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal test generators, power supplies, counters, etc.) and experience troubleshooting electronic circuitry to the component level.聽

Knowledge of computerized test equipment, including hands-on experience, is required.

Essential Functions:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Set up test equipment and perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environment.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform electronic troubleshooting and fault isolation.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Record test data, maintain test data file system, shop routing documentation and accept/reject data for production & engineering assemblies.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist technicians and engineers in performing Root Cause and Failure Analysis.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Calibrate electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist Engineering in establishing operating standards for test systems including detailed test plans and work instructions.

Qualifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree in electronics engineering technology or related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant work experience related to testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic circuits and electronic components.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Working knowledge (formal training and practical experience) of electronic circuitry and ability to read and understand schematic diagrams.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience using spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and other RF test equipment.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 IPC Solder Certification.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working in the Defense Industry.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working in Electronics Manufacturing.
