Job description:

American Endovascular is seeking full time Medical Insurance Authorization Specialist. The person in this role will be responsible for verifying eligibility of patients insurance and obtaining authorizations as well as communicating with staff/physicians on status, needs, etc. 

Responsibilities:

• Complete detailed eligibility, benefit and pre-certification/ authorization information to ensure accurate claims and working directly with multiple insurance websites to obtain benefits and authorizations for procedures performed in both an office setting as well as ASC. 
• Adheres to the guidelines set forth in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Explains insurance coverages and requirements for precertification/preauthorization, as applicable.
• Provides appropriate forms to billing and other departments.
• Verifies insurance benefits assigned to the organization to determine if insurance coverage meets appropriate standards.
• Corresponds with patients to acquire required authorizations and assignments of benefits.
• Works with appropriate sources to coordinate precertification requirements with contractual third parties.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Customer Service experience
• Authorizations experience

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Glen Rock, PA 17327: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
