Delta Fabrication is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Technician to support our commitment to delivering high-quality fabricated products that meet customer expectations and industry standards. This role serves as a dedicated quality resource throughout our manufacturing facility, helping ensure products meet specifications from raw material receipt through final inspection.

What You'll Do

As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement efforts by:

  • Performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated products and materials.
  • Verifying compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
  • Utilizing precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Serving as a dedicated quality resource throughout the production process by inspecting and verifying parts at multiple stages of manufacturing.
  • Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records.
  • Identifying non-conforming materials and products and assisting with corrective actions.
  • Supporting root cause investigations and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with internal audits and maintaining quality system compliance.
  • Collaborating with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Reviewing manufacturing and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Supporting customer quality requirements, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with established quality procedures.
  • Maintaining calibration records and coordinating calibration activities as required.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality control.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, machining, or metal manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis methodologies.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and movement throughout the facility.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on facility and seasonal conditions.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
