As a Safety/EMT Supervisor, you will oversee and supervise the safety and emergency medical services (EMS) team to ensure the safety and well-being of Six Flags guests and employees. You will be responsible for managing daily EMS operations, coordinating response to medical emergencies, and ensuring that safety protocols are followed. You will also assist in maintaining First Aid equipment and facilities, conduct inspections, and lead a team of EMTs to respond effectively to emergency situations.Â
This is a seasonal part-time position at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $22.00/hr with benefits including:Â

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Safety/EMT team, ensuring efficient response to all emergency medical incidents.Â
- Provide on-the-job guidance and support to EMT staff, ensuring they are equipped and trained to handle emergencies effectively.Â
- Respond to and manage emergency situations, including providing medical care and transportation for both guests and employees.Â
- Maintain and inspect all First Aid and EMS equipment, ensuring readiness at all times.Â
- Complete and review medical reports, including First Aid reports, Health Service Reports, and NEMSIS documentation, for accuracy and compliance.Â
- Conduct safety audits and inspections throughout the park, including ride audits and safety equipment checks.Â
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness standards of the First Aid facilities are met.Â
- Oversee and assist in the training and certification of EMT staff.Â
- Oversee internal auditing program.Â
- Complete accident investigations and root cause analysis for incidentsÂ
- Administer and/or over see the administration of internal random drug screenings.Â
- Monitor staff compliance with park safety and EMS procedures, maintaining a professional, courteous, and clean environment.Â
- Address any guest or employee concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.Â
- Act as a liaison between management and safety personnel to ensure effective communication of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.Â
- Complete any other tasks as directed by Six Flags managementÂ
Qualifications:
- MUST BE at least 21 years of ageÂ
- Valid Driver’s LicenseÂ
- High School Diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
- Must maintain applicable National Registry certifications (EMT-B)Â
- Must have previous experience as an EMT or in a similar EMS role, with supervisory experience preferredÂ
- Possess and maintain a valid and current park driving permitÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Ability to interpret written, oral, and diagnostic form instructionsÂ
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressureÂ
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a teamÂ
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with loud noises and flashing lightsÂ
- Ability to handle physical and emotional stress while responding to emergenciesÂ
- Ability to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time constraintsÂ
- Ability to read, converse, and understand EnglishÂ
- Ability to appropriately interview patients, family members, bystanders, and witnessesÂ
- Ability to document all relevant information accurately and in a prescribed formatÂ
- Preferred to have experience with Origami Risk.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Â
- Ability to lift, carry, manipulate, and operate medical equipment in excess of 75 poundsÂ
- Ability to walk, run, bend, stoop, and crawl on uneven terrainÂ
- Ability to withstand extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, moisture, and drynessÂ
- Ability to perform EMS and occupational functions as requiredÂ
