As a Shallow Water Attraction Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests in shallow water attractions, such as slide dispatch, slide run-outs, kiddie pools, and splash zones. You will provide vigilant supervision, enforce safety rules, and respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies. Your role is critical in maintaining a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.
This is a seasonal position at Hurricane Harbor Phoenix in Phoenix AZ. It features a competitive hourly rate of $15.50, along with perks such as:Â

Responsibilities:
- Monitor guests in shallow water attractions to ensure compliance with safety rules and prevent accidentsÂ
- Remain alert and focused while observing water activities to identify any potential risks or emergenciesÂ
- Respond promptly and effectively to water rescues, providing assistance and first aid as necessaryÂ
- Ensure safety equipment (such as life jackets and flotation devices) is in good condition and easily accessible to guestsÂ
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe pool area, including removing debris and checking water qualityÂ
- Communicate effectively with team members and guests to ensure everyone’s safetyÂ
- Educate guests on pool safety rules and proper behavior in the waterÂ
- Complete incident reports and other required documentationÂ
- Perform regular safety checks on the pool area to ensure all safety protocols are being followedÂ
- Work with fellow lifeguards and management to ensure the attraction is running smoothly and safelyÂ
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 15 years of age or olderÂ
- Must be reliable, responsible, and safety-consciousÂ
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guestsÂ
- Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situationsÂ
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periodsÂ
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsÂ
- Previous lifeguard or pool experience is a plus but not requiredÂ
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding (Paid Training!!)Â
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidaysÂ
