Behavioral Health Technician (Full-Time | 4-Day Schedule)

4 Day Schedule, Full-Time Impact

Looking for a full-time role with a great schedule? This is a ground-floor opportunity to join LivWell Behavioral as we launch a brand-new program in Glendale, AZ. This Behavioral Health Technician position offers a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday) on a team that is mission-driven and value-orientated.

You'll work directly with children and students in a structured behavioral health program, providing support, supervision, and guidance throughout their day, and you'll be part of building this new location's team and culture from the ground up.

This role is a great fit for individuals who are currently studying or building a career in psychology, counseling, or behavioral health, or who have prior experience working in a similar setting.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 11:30am – 9:00pm (4-day work week)
  • School breaks (summer, winter, etc.): Monday–Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
  • Overtime opportunities available

Training & Onboarding

  • New hires complete approximately four weeks of paid training at our Chandler, AZ facility before transitioning to the Glendale location
  • Reliable transportation to Chandler is required during this initial training period

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support clients throughout their daily program, including activities, group sessions, and transitions
  • Provide direct care, supervision, and emotional support
  • Transport clients to and from the facility (company vehicle)
  • Observe behaviors and document progress and changes
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
  • De-escalate situations and respond appropriately when needed
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support treatment plans

What We're Looking For

  • Must be 21+ years old (required for driving clients)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Driver's License and Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Ability to stay calm and effective in high-energy or stressful situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine interest in working with youth
  • Willingness to travel to our Chandler, AZ facility for the second-round interview and for initial training

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or social services
  • 6–12 months of experience working with youth or in a care setting
  • Current or recent coursework in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Candidates residing in or near Glendale, AZ are especially encouraged to apply

Compensation

  • $18 – $22 per hour
  • Consistent full-time pay (40 hours/week)
