Job Description

As a Security Officer Outdoor Retail Patrol in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or employees at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and property conditions; report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain clear, accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications while providing a professional presence in a high-profile commercial property environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
