Floor Care Technician – Environmental Services – Full Time

Glendive Medical Center | Glendive, Montana Full-Time | Five Shifts per Week: 8:00AM – 4:30PM | Starting Wage: $16.42+/hour (based on experience and internal equity)

Glendive Medical Center is looking for a reliable and hardworking Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Environmental Services team, you will help maintain healthcare facilities through specialized cleaning and floor maintenance services, including:

Perform floor care duties such as mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing various floor surfaces
Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and other assigned surfaces
Operate, maintain, and care for floor equipment and cleaning tools
Clean and sanitize designated hospital and facility areas
Assist with cleaning GMC-owned apartments and exterior windows as assigned
Collect, transport, and dispose of trash, recycling, and biohazard waste according to established procedures
Follow infection prevention, safety, and PPE guidelines
Participate in an on-call rotation, approximately one week per month
Attend department meetings, training sessions, and required educational programs
Support departmental needs and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

Valid Driver's License
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness standards

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in custodial services, environmental services, floor care, housekeeping, or facility maintenance
