Glendive Medical Center is looking for a reliable and hardworking Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional healthcare environment for patients, residents, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Environmental Services team, you will help maintain healthcare facilities through specialized cleaning and floor maintenance services, including:

  • Perform floor care duties such as mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing various floor surfaces
  • Clean carpets, upholstered furniture, and other assigned surfaces
  • Operate, maintain, and care for floor equipment and cleaning tools
  • Clean and sanitize designated hospital and facility areas
  • Assist with cleaning GMC-owned apartments and exterior windows as assigned
  • Collect, transport, and dispose of trash, recycling, and biohazard waste according to established procedures
  • Follow infection prevention, safety, and PPE guidelines
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, approximately one week per month
  • Attend department meetings, training sessions, and required educational programs
  • Support departmental needs and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
  • Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness standards

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in custodial services, environmental services, floor care, housekeeping, or facility maintenance
