Glendive, MT | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Pay Beginning at $21.29 per hour

Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day operation of facility systems and equipment. In this essential role, you'll help ensure a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, and building systems throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in supporting patient care by ensuring all systems operate reliably and safely.

 

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on facility equipment
  • Maintain boiler systems, heating systems, and HVAC equipment
  • Monitor and service emergency generators and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues
  • Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
  • Identify and report safety concerns or equipment issues
  • Assist with general facility upkeep and repairs as needed

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Boiler Operator 3rd Class license (State of Montana) required
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Technical training or vocational school education preferred

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of building systems and industrial equipment
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations
  • Effective communication and teamwork

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in varying environments
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • Frequent walking, bending, and physical activity required
