Make a Difference Through Movement and Recovery

Glendive Medical Center is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help patients improve mobility, regain function, and work toward greater independence following injury, illness, or surgery.

This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while working with a variety of diagnoses in a supportive rural healthcare environment.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Implement therapy programs developed by the Physical Therapist
  • Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
  • Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to the supervising therapist
  • Document treatments, outcomes, and patient responses accurately
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home programs
  • Assist with transfers, positioning, gait training, and mobility activities
  • Apply therapeutic modalities as directed, including heat, ultrasound, and other treatment techniques
  • Maintain treatment spaces, equipment, and therapy supplies

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Montana PTA license
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patients
