Glendive Medical Center is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our Nutrition Services team. This position provides the opportunity to work across inpatient, long-term care, and outpatient settings while helping patients and residents achieve better health through evidence-based nutrition interventions.

Position Highlights

As a Registered Dietitian, you'll serve as a key member of the healthcare team by providing nutrition assessments, education, and treatment recommendations tailored to each individual's needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide one-on-one counseling for patients, residents, and families
  • Support diabetes education and self-management programs
  • Monitor nutrition status and recommend appropriate dietary interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacy, and dietary services to optimize patient outcomes
  • Review menus, diets, and food service practices for nutritional accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with nutrition support recommendations, supplements, and specialized feeding plans
  • Create educational materials and participate in community wellness initiatives
  • Conduct staff education and in-service training programs
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient rounds

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
  • Registered Dietitian credential
  • Montana licensure, or ability to obtain licensure

Preferred

  • Two or more years of clinical nutrition experience
  • Experience in acute care, long-term care, or outpatient counseling
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) interest or experience
