Glendive Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Urgent Care team. This provider will deliver high-quality care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries while collaborating with the hospitalist physician to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatric patients.
  • Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work, x-rays, and EKGs.
  • Perform approved procedures within scope of practice and medical staff privileges.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with Montana regulations and organizational policies.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Consult with supervising physicians as needed to support quality patient care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation.
  • Maintain certifications required for urgent care and emergency care practice.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Montana licensure (or eligible for licensure).
  • National certification and state accreditation required.
  • Ongoing continuing education and maintenance of licensure.

  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to care for patients across the lifespan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing, walking, and movement.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, and bodily fluids.
