What You Will Be Doing
- Providing superior guest service at a variety of waterpark attractions with a focus on guest safety
- Ensuring that all Guests meet all rider requirements for each attraction
- Ensuring that all Guests ride the attraction appropriately and are dispatched properly
- Calculating the dispatch interval for each rider
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by effectively managing attractions and grounds
How You Will Do It
- Ability to pass a Lifeguard course taught in English
- Physical stamina and strong swimming skills
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, bending, twisting, and kneeling
- Perform work that may involve lifting Guests, in and out of the pool
- Willingness to get wet and stay wet throughout the day, regardless of weather
- Preparedness to be test/rescue ready at all times during shift
- Compliance with wearing approved footwear
- Attention to safety and detail
- 20/20 vision or corrective vision to 20/20
- Strong observational skills to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
- Lifeguards provide guidance to Guests, problem-solving, and work in a cooperative team environment
- A genuine interest in making people feel welcome using your smile and positive nature
- Keen to be a part of something you believe in, providing fun while having fun at work
- Openness to learn, grow and develop skills
- Commitment to your team by being on time and working scheduled shifts
- Work indoor at the Lodge, may require outdoor coverage May - August when the Theme Park is open. Outdoor settings involve various weather conditions.
What You Will Need
- At least 15 years old
- Capability to tread water for at least 2 minutes
- Ability to swim up to 200 yards
- Skill in retrieving a 10-pound brick from various pool depths
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
- Must be able to remain calm in stressful and emergency situations
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to swim 50 yardsand lift yourself out of the pool unassisted
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
