Barton is currently seeking a Parts Coordinator. This job will work in our Glens Falls, NY Corporate Headquarters, Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm.

Job Summary:

This position coordinates the receipt, storage, purchasing, and shipment of replacement parts while ensuring inventory accuracy and timely customer order processing. Working closely with Sales Operations, suppliers, and customers, the Parts Coordinator supports the complete parts fulfillment process, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, shipping, returns processing, and supplier coordination. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Receive, inspect, and stock inbound shipments of waterjet replacement parts.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage and ensure accurate identification and location of parts.
  • Process purchase orders with approved suppliers to replenish inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment based on demand and established inventory targets.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Process returned merchandise authorizations (RMAs), including receiving, documenting, and routing returned parts.
  • Coordinate drop shipment orders with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in support of customer orders processed by the Sales Operations team.
  • Provide Sales Operations with estimated receipt dates and inventory availability for inbound purchase orders.
  • Maintain adequate inventories of shipping and packing materials and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate shipments using designated carriers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, receiving, and shipment records within the company's ERP or inventory management system.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, customer order fulfillment, or a related business operations role.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or order processing software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
