Provides patient care procedures and related activities within the framework of the written care plan and under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Patient care assignments may include neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an understanding of the rationale and basic principles of assigned patients treatment/care procedures
- Provides hygiene, safety, and comfort needs of assigned patients
- Provides first-level patient care
- Utilizes interventions to prevent the complications of bedrest and immobility
- Assists patients with activities of daily living and encourages appropriate self-care
- Measures vital signs
Education/Accredited Programs
- High School Diploma or higher
- Currently enrolled in an accredited (ACEN, CCNE, or AACN) nursing program
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
- Basic Life Support Certification
Skills/Abilities
- One letter of reference from the School of Nursing
- Applicant must provide proof of 3 years completed in a BSN program or 1 year in an associate degree program
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $20.00 to $27.95 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
