The Environmental Services (EVS) team is looking for a Unit Coordinator to play a key role in supporting management with daily operations. This position assists with budget management, maintains financial records, processes invoices, and provides administrative support by scheduling meetings and coordinating staff retention improvement initiatives. Additionally, the EVS Unit Coordinator oversees processes related to patient experience and satisfaction, ensures that the department stays compliant with regulations, and maintains adherence to DNV and federal/state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of environmental policies, procedures, and compliance reports. Schedule and coordinate team meetings and training. Prepare reports and presentations related to environmental services and Linen. Assist in employee onboarding and training regarding departmental policies. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding environmental service/Linen operations.
Operational Support: Attend meetings and take minutes, correspond with departments, and team members to retrieve necessary data for meetings and reports. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to maintain quality standards.
Financial Record-Keeping: Track and manage budgets related to environmental services and Linen Laundry. Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports. Maintain financial records for audits and reporting purposes.
Database Management: Supports the Environmental Services Department through maintaining the department in an organized and up to date by accurate input, update, and maintain records related to environmental services, including staff training, inventory, compliance reports, and operational metrics.
Manage and track employee training records, certifications, and compliance requirements, ensuring timely completion and adherence to regulatory standards. Regularly audit database entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.
Maintain data confidentiality by managing user access, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA,
DNV, and other relevant regulations.
Conduct EPIC/Rover training sessions for staff and new hires
Education/Accredited Programs
- High school diploma or equivalency required; Associates preferred
- Experience in a hospital or health care environment preferred
- Completion of basic management skills, education and training.
Skills/Abilities
- Must demonstrate strong people skills and ability to communicate well with all levels of management both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work in a self-directed manner
- Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and manages spreadsheets
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret collected data, draw conclusions, and applies concepts using concreate or abstract variables)
Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $18 to $27 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
