Job Description
As a Production Assembly Operator on our FHS Landauer team, you will be part of a team that processes dosimeter orders and manufactures them to finished badges. Working under general supervision, you will operate equipment in tandem with a partner and perform a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of detection devices. Success as a member of the packaging team is measured through completion of the following core roles and responsibilities.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate machines
- Load/unload machines (may be assisted by automation or ergo aids)
- Move wheeled carts, racks, bins containing work in progress to adjacent production areas
- Eliminate routine errors, perform minor troubleshooting work
- Participate in the continuous improvement process
- Inspect product quality
- Maintain cleanliness of surrounding work areas
- Working with mindfulness and integrity to avoid mistakes that cause shipping delays
- Ability to work 10–12-hour shifts including weekends during peak volume periods
- May be needed to sit and/or stand and work with your hands throughout the shift
- Flexibility:
- Rotating stations or jobs as often as needed.
- Willingness to learn and rotate in multiple roles within the facility
- Assignment of different duties based on business needs
- Safety:
- Follow safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures
- Meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- This is a manufacturing facility. Noise is common; facilities are climate controlled, however, normal seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected
- Casual manufacturing work environment
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, adaptive learner, and ability to maintain fast pace for extended hours
- Reading and understanding instructions and following established procedures
- Computer literate
- Good written and verbal communication
- Keen sense of time organization and urgency
- Positive Attendance
- Eager to learn
- Ability to work overtime in periods of heightened volume
- Less than 1 Year/entry level
- Self-motivated with drive to multitask various tasks daily.
