The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC  and offers stevedoring and break bulk services.  The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.

Job Description & Duties:

 

Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, drug free environment.  Candidates will have to direct, supervise, and assign work to stevedores.  Candidates will also monitor loading and unloading sequences to meet all safety and productivity standards, monitor employee attendance, and resolve personnel issues.  Individuals should possess the following qualities:

 

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems, look ahead to avoid problems, and follow through to completion.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and have the ability to supervise and direct groups of individuals.
  • Must be able to assume a leadership role and participate in safety program.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal departments, customers and their agents, and vendors.
  • Good correspondence and computer skills a must (Word, Excel, and Outlook) with the ability to learn in house network.
  • Vessel Experience/Marine Terminal Operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work night and weekend shifts as required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
