SUMMARY: 

            The primary function is to develop color formulas and mixes Solvent and UV inks for production; mixing standard colors and special match colors.

DUTIES:

  • Mix ink for operators as specified on work order
  • Use Gretag Mcbeth color system to help match colors and to read colors in to obtain DE level
  • Maintain ink inventory by ordering ink as needed
  • Set viscosity for each ink formula
  • Maintain equipment mixers and spectro
  • Keep work area clean and organized at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Screen Printing experience. 
  • Basic computer skills

SPECIAL SKILLS / ABILITIES:  Must possess the following skills:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables and standardized situations.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract and use a calculator.
